You will operate on a 1-week-on-1 week-off FIFO roster.
This particular project has a value of approx.
$60M and a program duration of around 18 months.
Job Overview:The Commercial Manager will oversee all commercial and financial aspects of civil construction projects, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and contractual terms.
This position involves managing cost control, procurement, contracts, and client relationships, while ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
The role will also contribute to strategic planning, risk management, and profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities:Cost Management: Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Monitor and control costs to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.Contract Management: Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure that all parties adhere to agreed terms and conditions.Procurement: Lead the procurement process for materials, labor, and services, ensuring cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Work with project teams to resolve financial and contractual issues.Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding commercial matters.
Foster strong relationships and ensure client satisfaction.Financial Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management, ensuring accuracy and transparency.Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior commercial staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-performance standards.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a commercial management role within the civil construction industry.Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and financial management.Experience in risk management and dispute resolution.High level of competency using Primavera 6 software.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Proficiency in commercial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.All communication and your resume is treated strictly confidential and will be kept completely private until we have discussed the role and you are comfortable to move forward with the opportunity.
