The Role We are seeking smart, passionate, ambitious, well trained general commercial litigation associates with between 1-3 years' of experience to join our busy, market leading team in Sydney.
This is a unique opportunity to really accelerate your career through exposure to large scale, complex, high value, multi party, multi-jurisdiction litigation.
You will join a fast paced practice and be heavily involved in one of the largest and most interesting litigated disputes in Australia, with involvement in a range of other general commercial litigation matters, including for corporations, directors and officers and insurers.
The nature and size of the team will mean that you are actively participating in all aspects of matters allowing you to make a significant contribution to their outcome.
This role will give you the opportunity for client contact and exposure and allow you to continue to develop your professional and personal brand.
About You You will be an Associate with between 1-3 years' of general commercial litigation experience.
Overseas qualified lawyers are welcome to apply.
The following are the core requirements for these roles: a solid general commercial litigation background gained from a top tier private practice environment from either Australia or overseas; experience working with, and analysing, high volume data sets and evidence, on a cross border basis; precise, clear drafting skills; strong academics, self-driven, a 'can do' approach, with excellent verbal and written communications skills; strong time management skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in order to meet deliverables to a very high standard; demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently; commercial awareness and confidence in building rapport with clients to gain a better understanding of their business' needs and with the assistance of the partners, actively developing client relationships; for more senior lawyers, the ability to lead, delegate and for all candidates, to foster a positive team environment.
