Commercial Lawyer

In this role you will be an experienced Commercial Lawyer with an active Baseline clearance, or higher. You will join one of our consulting clients who operate in the Australian Federal Government and Defence space. You will work directly with Defence clients to help design, develop and deliver solutions that will support our client to build internal capability. You will be involved with providing advice on critical government procurements, programs, projects, policies and reviews. You will also undertake responsibility for risk management and legal matter project management.
About the client Our client is a leader in the business consulting space and operate in Canberra and Melbourne. There are multiple positions available, ranging from Junior to Senior legal counsel and are able to consider permanent & contract.
About you 3+ years' commercial law experience, gained within a government environment.Baseline or above clearance required.Ability to work closely with clients and be proactively engaged in the day-to-day happenings of their businessHold a current Legal Practising Certificate (or the ability to reinstate one)Thorough understanding of legal project management, risk management, probity, general management, and proactive engagement with stakeholders.** Please note we are able to consider applicants who are Australian Citizens, however please note that start times will be delayed to allow for clearance to be gained.
