Queensland Commercial Diving Services Pty Ltd, trading as Rhino Dive, is seeking an experienced Commercial Diver to join our team at our Townsville, QLD location in a full-time position.
In this role, you will play a vital role in conducting underwater inspections, construction and maintenance on various marine structures.Key Tasks & Responsibilities:Analyse the project specifications, including depth, duration and specific welding tasks required.Identify and mitigate potential hazard associated with the dive, including environmental conditions and equipment risks.Ensure all diving gear and welding equipment are in proper working order.Execute dives in pressurised environments, adjusting techniques as needed based on water conditions.Continuously assess environmental factors such as water temperature, visibility and currents, making adjustments as necessary.Conduct thorough inspections of underwater structures, such as bridges, piers, and pipelines, using visual and tactile methods to identify corrosion, cracks, or other signs of wear.Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform repairs on damaged structures, including welding, cutting, and patching.Assist in the assembly or installation of underwater structures, including laying pipes, constructing foundations, and setting buoys or anchors.Operate various tools and equipment, such as underwater drills, saws, and hydraulic systems, to carry out construction tasks efficiently and safely.Conduct routine checks of all diving and equipment before and after dives, identifying wear and tear.Adhere strictly to established safety regulations and procedures, including decompression protocols and emergency procedures.Maintain detailed records of dive parameters, including depth, duration, and tasks performed, for regulatory compliance and project tracking.Document all activities, including materials used and inspection results, to ensure traceability and quality assurance.Collaborate with other divers, engineers, and support personnel to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to timelines.Monitor and evaluate underwater environmental factors, such as marine life and habitat conditions, to minimize ecological impact.Qualifications:Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.Exceptional problem-solving skills and focus.Excellent physical strength and stamina.Strong attention to detail.Must be available to work overtime and travel to conduct works onsite as required.Benefits:Competitive annualised salary and superannuation.Work in a Friendly & Supportive TeamEnvironment.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $94,848.00 per yearSchedule:8 hour shiftWork Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
