We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Analyst to join our Finance team.
Role Purpose and Summary The Commercial Analyst is responsible and accountable for the reporting and analysis of financial data for SCC.
The position is an operational role within the accounting team, ensuring objectives and outcomes are met, as directed by the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.
The position is accountable and responsible in ensuring compliance with SCC Policies and procedures, relevant standards, relevant legislation, and accepted industry practices.
Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a commercial analysis or business partnering role.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in supporting the improvement of business models and operational performance.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance performance and optimize processes.
Involvement in the application of business drivers to improve performance management, focusing on operational efficiency and organisational goals.
Exposure to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Proven experience in commercial finance, supporting business operations, process improvements, and handling routine business requests.
Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and planning applications (e.g., Adaptive Planning).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of or experience in the Aged Care, Retirement Living, or Not-for-Profit sectors (desirable).
Experience with project management, financial modelling, and process improvements.
Advanced skills in tools like Excel, Epicor, Power BI, and SQL.
Solid understanding of data analytics, and financial and operational business drivers.
