The Legal Practice Management Team provides client-focused practice management services and supports the Legal Group in the delivery of quality legal services with a focus on continuous improvement.
The team:
develops and maintains governance processes and frameworks for the Legal Group, coordinates responses to requests on behalf of the Legal Group, generates and coordinates input to reports to support Comcare in meeting its internal and external reporting obligations, engages Legal Service Providers (LSPs) on behalf of Comcare, and leads cross-Group projects and initiatives. The team is also responsible for all legal practice management functions including but not limited to, organisational management, recruitment, business planning, financial management, risk management, data and reporting, and training.
Overview of the Role
The Legal Support Officer works within the Legal Practice Management team to provide high-level legal and administrative support services to the Legal Group, other Comcare Groups, and external stakeholders. This work may include processing Tribunal and Court applications, drafting legal documents, accounts processing, preparation and compiling of court and Tribunal documents, generating reports, and management of legal registers/records.
The Legal Support Officer will be responsible for exercising judgement, discretion, and confidentiality in the management of sensitive information.
In this role, you will need to be flexible, resilient, and adaptable to enable you to manage changing priorities in high-volume work environments. A collaborative and empathetic approach is required to support productive and constructive relationships internally and externally.
Mandatory Qualifications/Experience
Demonstrated experience in administrative and coordination support roles. Eligibility and Specific Conditions of Employment
