3 CSSB provides transport, supply and maintenance support to the 3rd Brigade to enable it to deliver combat support functions. 3 CSSB is a diverse unit made up of officers and soldiers from 12 Corps comprising of 42 different employment categories, including:

vehicle mechanicsfitter armourers (weapon repair)cargo specialistsdriver specialistselectrical and electronics technicians3 CSSB have a variety of equipment and vehicles which allow them to deploy rapidly into the field or on operations.

As part of this work experience placement, participants will visit each of the four sub-units, working alongside the soldiers. Participants will gain a broad experience of life in an Army workshop, a warehouse, working with protected and 'soldier-moving' vehicles and working with larger bulk freight vehicles.

Participants will participate in physical training with the soldiers, as well as the broader range of Army soldier skills. Students will also spend time at Battalion Headquarters; here they will have exposure to Officers and their roles, this will assist participants who are thinking about this stream.
