Purpose As the Conference & Events Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing new MICE business opportunities across the Accor MLR property portfolio through business development practices, relationships, and proactive sales initiatives. The position will identify revenue opportunities and undertake direct sales activity to convert business.
Primary Responsibilities Increase the level of sales and business mix, maximizing on every opportunity across the MICE segment.Pro-active sales focus to maximize leads and opportunities for the business.Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and industry professionals to generate repeat business and referrals.Follow-up and pass on leads to the relevant property sales team.Research and define new revenue generating niche markets.Understand the key revenue drivers for the region, identify distressed venues, and undertake sales calls of regional accounts as required maximizing the revenue outcome.Optimize Accor MLR share of the MICE market segment.Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of competitor products, be able to highlight their disadvantages and promote relevant benefits.Conduct site inspections with potential clients as required.Tactical projects as required.Scope out, lead, and implement special MICE sales related projects.Represent Accor MLR at trade events and industry functions as required.Maintain accurate records.Work in conjunction with the marketing department to develop promotional material and collateral when required.Assist the Director of Conference & Events in identifying and implementing plans to address revenue opportunities.Assist the Conference & Events Coordinator as required.Skills & Experience Past experience in a similar role, demonstrated precision in conference and events proactive sales and providing exceptional customer service while exceeding expectations.Creativity is key for designing unique event experiences and finding innovative solutions to challenges that may arise.Proficiency in budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management.A strategic mindset, adept at orchestrating a wide range of events.You foster a can-do approach with impeccable attention to detail and exceptional time management skills.Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
