Due to an internal promotion, a role has opened up for a Club Manager at City Golf Club, Toowoomba. The Club GM, answering directly to the Group General Manager, will help shape the City Golf Club group's flagship venue which operates 283 gaming machines, various dining offerings and bars, along with a Tabatinga kids activity centre, driving range and mini-golf. This is a unique opportunity for a forward-thinking Club or Operations Manager who is keen to stamp their personality on this club group and assist the group's flagship club in maximising their opportunities.
The success of the City Golf Club group is enabling it to provide community donations as well as golfing and bowls to members, guests and the wider community. Working closely with the Group General Manager and the Club's progressive Board, this role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Club's operations to ensure it functions in a highly professional manner and at maximum efficiency.
The key to success in this role is your ability to mentor, motivate and lead a team of staff to always deliver exceptional customer service and a quality product. A highly energetic outgoing personality with a strong background in club operations, demonstrating an ability to deliver above-benchmark earnings results and operational standards over a sustained period is imperative.
The key attributes of the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate are:
At least three years' management experience in a medium to large community club which provides food, beverage and gaming services.
An understanding and a proven track record in driving gaming revenue, food and beverage, marketing and membership.
Personality and ability to motivate a cohesive management team.
An understanding of modern HR practices and compliance.
Ability to create a positive environment and mentor staff, encouraging their personal growth and development.
Hospitality or management qualifications at a Diploma level or above would be an advantage.
Capacity for strategic thinking and implementation of strategic plans.
