Company Overview: Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering the Project Ceres urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia.
The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes.
The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.
Position Overview: Clough currently has an opportunity for an additional Senior Buyer to join the Supply Chain Team on site.
In this role, you will effectively support projects and corporate offices for existing and new work along with awarded projects in managing procurement activities including sourcing, RFQ, bid clarification and conforming commercial agreements in corporate and project execution phases.
Your Focus Will Include: Issuing of conformed Purchase Order agreements in accordance with Clough procedures.
Managing the overall procurement and delivery process for assigned packages and 'Bulks' type procurement.
Interfacing with Engineering Leads for the timely issue of Scopes of work, MTO's and associated documents for assigned RFQ packages.
Working with Vendor management to pre-qualify suppliers where required.
Ensuring use of existing MSA providers for relevant Goods and Services.
What You Will Bring to the Team: Previous experience in a similar role as a Senior Buyer.
Documented experience of managing procurement of major equipment packages for Oil & Gas and/or Mining and infrastructure projects.
Exposure to EPC type lump sum and reimbursable projects.
Competent negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
Experience in expediting delivery of purchased equipment and associated Supplier documentation.
Basic knowledge and understanding of materials management systems and processes and practical experience of maintaining purchasing/expediting data in materials management systems.
Previous experience working with SAP would be highly regarded.
Ability to work a 19:9 FIFO rotation to site.
