This full-time role as the FinOps Engineer is responsible for optimising financial operations within Ramsay's multi-cloud infrastructure.
The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to report and implement cost optimisation strategies for Ramsay's cloud environment, ensuring performance and scalability are maintained.
This role will involve, but is not limited to:
Review and analyse cloud usage patterns and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising performance or availability Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on cost optimisation strategies and best practices Implement cost reduction measures such as reserved instances, spot instances and scaling policies Support labelling and tagging strategies to ensure costs are allocated to appropriate services Support the implementation and administration of FinOps tooling such as Cloudability or CloudHealth Your Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role Proven experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform Proficiency with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform cost management tools Comprehensive knowledge of cloud services and pricing structures Proficiency in data analysis, financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting Experience with scripting languages (e.g.
Python, PowerShell) and automation tools Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified FinOps Practitioner Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Tertiary qualifications in computing Previous experience working within a healthcare environment Proficiency with cloud cost management tools such as Cloudability, CloudHealth or similar AWS Certified Solution Architect or Google Cloud Professional – Cloud Architect If you love creating impactful solutions, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to be part of a forward-thinking organisation, this is the perfect opportunity to elevate your career!
