This full-time role as the FinOps Engineer is responsible for optimising financial operations within Ramsay's multi-cloud infrastructure.
The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to report and implement cost optimisation strategies for Ramsay's cloud environment, ensuring performance and scalability are maintained.
This role will involve, but is not limited to:
Review and analyse cloud usage patterns and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising performance or availabilityProvide guidance and support to stakeholders on cost optimisation strategies and best practicesImplement cost reduction measures such as reserved instances, spot instances and scaling policiesSupport labelling and tagging strategies to ensure costs are allocated to appropriate servicesSupport the implementation and administration of FinOps tooling such as Cloudability or CloudHealthYour Essential Skills and Experience Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar roleProven experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud PlatformProficiency with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform cost management toolsComprehensive knowledge of cloud services and pricing structuresProficiency in data analysis, financial modelling, budgeting and forecastingExperience with scripting languages (e.g.
Python, PowerShell) and automation toolsRelevant certifications such as AWS Certified FinOps PractitionerExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsTertiary qualifications in computingPrevious experience working within a healthcare environmentProficiency with cloud cost management tools such as Cloudability, CloudHealth or similarAWS Certified Solution Architect or Google Cloud Professional – Cloud ArchitectIf you love creating impactful solutions, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to be part of a forward-thinking organisation, this is the perfect opportunity to elevate your career!
