Because of this, we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join the Engineering team.Key Responsibilities:Writing code to manage and automate routine procedures across different cloud providers.Improving/Implementing continuous integration and delivery processes through automation.Maintaining a sharp operational edge, ensuring that key systems are functioning as intended, proactively avoiding any downtime or degradation of service as experienced by customers.Monitoring, auditing, consolidation, and life cycle management of all infrastructure assets.Providing support for both internal and external customers.Extensive documentation and knowledge sharing.Participating in active development of our software platform.Holding, enforcing, and improving security policies and best practices.Who are you?Cloud environment management (AWS preferred).System-level understanding of networking/OS core concepts.Build, manage, and optimise AWS-based infrastructure with IAC tools (Terraform preferred, CDK or CloudFormation).Designing and implementing build and release pipelines (GitHub Actions/Buildkite).Strong understanding of setting up observability and alerting for AWS services and on tools like Grafana/Prometheus, PagerDuty.Security-centric approach to all work.Working commercial experience with Linux and Windows.Hands-on automation experience with any programming/scripting language (i.e., Python, Unix).Working knowledge of RDS SQL and Document databases (i.e., Aurora MySQL, DynamoDB, etc.).Solid understanding of major AWS services: Route 53, RDS, IAM, EC2, Lambda, VPC, WAF, and Shield Advanced.Strong technical documentation skills; you must be an active contributor to our knowledge sharing portal.Benefits:Availability to work in the office 5 days a week.Ongoing investment in your career development (technical and professional training).Wellness and lifestyle perks like monthly corporate massages.Parental leave.Employee-purchased leave.Collaborative team culture.Opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business.Being part of an exciting new project for the company.If you're passionate about technology, dedicated to continuous learning, and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply!We respectfully ask that no recruiters contact anyone at Eightcap regarding this role.
