Fixed term temporary part time (0.5 FTE for 12 months, commencing February 2025) John Hunter Children's Hospital invites applications from suitable candidates for the role of Clinical Superintendent, to provide leadership and general supervision of medical registrars, resident medical officers and interns in all medical specialties. The successful applicant will manage day to day operational issues in relation to the Children, Young People and Families Service.

Eligibility criteria: A primary specialist paediatrician medical degree registered with AHPRA and Fellowship of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Knowledge of HETI, AHPRA, National Standards and Post Graduate Medical Council accreditation requirements. Demonstrated experience with medical rostering. About us John Hunter Children's Hospital in Newcastle is one of three children's hospitals in NSW, we see almost 25,000 children and young people in our emergency department and admit over 10,000 children and young people to hospital per year. We perform over 100,000 occasions of service through outpatient clinics.
