About the Role: Evolve Scientific are proud to recruit for this leading Australian biotechnology company developing a novel lipid biomarker blood screening test that is safe, accessible, and cost effective, providing additional information for clinicians to use alongside standard screening, monitoring and detection methods to help identify significant health issues.
As the organisation grows, they have a requirement for a Clinical Scientist.
The Clinical Scientist is responsible for the technical oversight of laboratory testing in both the daily operations of the laboratory, and the efficient and effective delivery of clinical research activities. This will include clinical validation and clinical utility of laboratory developed tests (LDT) and in vitro-diagnostics (IVD) products. Our client is seeking someone who is passionate about making a real-world impact and contributing to the development of life-saving technology, to help commercialise their first test detecting breast cancer.
Duties will include: Monitoring test analysis to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintainedGenerating reports and identifying results requiring urgent action as well as advising clinicians on testingContributes to the development of clinical evidence plans for studies related to LDT and IVD medical diagnostic productsMaintenance of laboratory procedural documentation to consistently meet customer expectations and regulatory complianceProvide support in preparation for scientific meetings, regulatory submissions, and labelling documentsSkills & Experience: Degree in a Scientific discipline (i.e., PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Clinical Chemistry desired)Industry experience working within a medical/clinical laboratoryStrong understanding and experience in liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) based testingBackground in either lipidomics, lipid chemistry, biochemistry, proteomics and various MS modelsDemonstrated experience, knowledge, expertise and skills within the respective discipline i.e., developing research projects from inception to deliveryBenefits/Culture: This is a permanent position, located in a new facility.
