(Pro Rata) AHP3 | Full Time – Contract Until June 2025 An exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychologist to help shape the psychology service in SALHN's new Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit.
The Clinical Project Officer - Psychologist will report to the Allied Health Director and the Principal Clinical Psychologist (SALHN Mental Health Division) and will use their skills in psychological practice and project management to contribute to the planning, consultation, development, implementation, research, and evaluation of specific projects.
About the Role: As the Clinical Project Officer - Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a new service whilst maintaining and working in collaboration with stakeholders.
Duties for the role may include: Review, and make recommendations, develop and implement workflow processes and quality assurance processes to improve practice.
Utilise and develop outcome measures to evaluate the efficacy of Psychology interventions delivered and introduce new practices in response to evaluations.
Provide leadership, consultancy, and advice to management and other health professionals on service delivery, development, and practice within psychology services in the context of Mental Health Rehabilitation.
Act as a role model, mentor, consultant, and resource person.
About you: Demonstrated high-level communication skills including the ability to communicate with clients, professional staff of different disciplines, administrative staff, and staff of other agencies, both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership within a discrete unit, including program evaluation and service development.
Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification as a psychologist and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.
