About the Role The Clinical Pharmacist will be a valued member of the Pharmacy Department and will be required to provide the pharmacy weekend suppy service. This includes but is not limited to:
Dispensing medications for inpatients, outpatients and discharge patients including supply of non-Imprest medications, supply of restricted substances and aseptic and non-aseptic manufacturing. Providing a ward based (or specialty based) clinical pharmacy service including clinical pharmacy review, clinical interventions, completion of medication reconciliation (also known as medication management plan). Provision of patient counselling and education (including provision of medication information leaflet and medication discharge list) to optimise therapeutic outcomes. Provision of written and verbal information to drug information queries. Assisting with the ordering of stock and annual stock take. Generous Penalty rates for weekend work apply!
Employment Type: This is a Part Time, Fixed Term opportunity until 01 July 2024. The role is for 8 hours per fortnight, currently working on alternate weekends (rostered as two 4 hour shifts being 4hrs on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday).
