What is our Clinical Nurse Specialist - Oncology role? The Clinical Nurse Specialist Oncology (CNS-OC) works autonomously and in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Oncology Coordination to provide continuity and excellence in care coordination for cancer patients with complex needs. The position provides an effective clinical function in area of oncology specialty. Cancer Network WA provides a statewide service across the following tumour groups: colorectal, haematology, head & neck, neuro-oncology, gynae-oncology, neuroendocrine, rare, thoracic, upper GI, urology, early breast and metastatic breast. It is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through the implementation of coordinated, evidence-based and seamless patient-focused approaches. Areas of accountability include the provision of leadership and influence, clinical practice, education, quality improvement and research.
