About the opportunity: Position: Clinical Nurse - PACU Facilitator
Vacancy: Permanent full-time
Location: Townsville University Hospital
The Clinical Nurse Facilitator for PACU actively guides, mentors, and provides support to PACU graduate nurses, students, and new staff.
The facilitator will work collaboratively with the Perioperative Nurse Educator to provide direct nursing care utilizing clinical skills, education, and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.
The facilitator will actively participate in the Graduate Nurse training program and Friday morning education sessions for the unit and quality improvement activities.
The PACU Facilitator is also required to care for patients post-operatively when required.
On-call is mandatory for all staff members who work within the unit.

Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
