The OST program works across the Townsville Men's Correctional Centre and Townsville Women's Correctional Centre. The program is an opiate addiction treatment program and harm minimisation program.

While prison craft and AODS/OST knowledge, experience and exposure will be an advantage, it will not be essential, as training in OST will be provided.Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which may include participation in an on-call roster. It is anticipated that this position will work a mixture of shifts across 7 days varying in length but mostly either 8 hr or 12 hr shifts.On call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call roster.Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.Queensland Corrective Services Criminal History Check: Applicants are advised that this position works in a Queensland Corrective Services facility and requires employees and volunteers to have a current Queensland Corrective Services criminal history clearance as per the Corrective Services Act 2006.This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
