About the role

Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our supportive nursing team on our oncology ward. You will play a key role in supporting both patients and staff to ensure high levels of patient care is provided.

Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a 339 bed, 22 operating theatre facility located in Southport, the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct.
Specialities include; 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. As a Clinical Nurse your responsibilities will include: Demonstrate high-level professional nursing practice as evidenced by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's polices and processes Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred patient care Foster learning within the unit, by demonstrating and sharing your high-level Oncology and palliative care nursing skills on the job with colleagues, peers, ENs, graduates and students. Maintaining your own professional learning and continuous professional development Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes Current AHPRA registration Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in Oncology Nursing Post graduate study completed or working towards Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment Why Healthscope?
