This is a permanent, full-time position, 80 hours per fortnight. Currently, there are 2 permanent positions available for immediate filling. About the role There are many reasons to choose to work with Health Services in the primary care setting including flexible hours, autonomy in decision making, broad scope of practice, nurse-led clinics, and the ability to up-skill and fast-track your nursing career. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing clinical leadership, critical thinking, and direct care to patients throughout the patient journey in a custodial setting.
You will manage the delivery of nursing care using well developed skills to manage patients with routine, urgent and chronic disease health conditions; health promotion and education; preventative health and immunisation; emergency response and medication management.
Minimum Requirements Current registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA). Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery of evidence-based nursing care relevant to primary care practice setting. All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements. To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
