About your opportunity: Fixed term temporary full-time or part-time (hours negotiable)/ up to 02/02/2025 with the possibility of extension, not exceeding 12 months. The purpose of the Clinical Nurse is to provide clinical expertise, support and education to nursing staff within the Unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.
What's on offer: Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $11,024 p.m. comprising:Salary range of $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. Candidate Requirements: Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.Highly Desirable: Experience in Emergency Department and a current Adult Life Support certificate.Adult Life Support certificate: Must be able to obtain and then maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support as per Townsville Hospital and Health Service policy.Travel is a requirement of this position.Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.Possession of class C drivers' licence.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Proven ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care at an advanced level within a complex environment.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, patients and other stakeholders, including participation in relevant networks to achieve work unit outcomes.Ability to provide nursing leadership in the clinical and professional setting including the role modelling of effective communication and problem solving.Proven ability to use information and reporting systems appropriate to the position in order to achieve outcomes and identify areas for improvement.Proven ability to provide clinical education and support at an advanced level and demonstrate own professional development.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
