Clinical Nurse Consultant - Surgical Clinical Reviewer (NSQIP)Gladstone Hospital is a 70-Bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency, hospital in the home, specialist outpatients, paediatrics and child health. Additional services include Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs, Oral Health, Allied Health, and outreach/community-based services.
About the role:This unique position has been established to work closely with the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) which focuses on the availability of validated risk-adjusted clinical tools to track and analyze surgical complications. The Surgical Clinical Reviewer will practice at an advanced level in relation to the provision of quality, cost-effective care, in consultation with other members of the peri-operative health care team and holds responsibility for reporting accurate collection and submission of data to the NSQIP program.
This role will maintain close relationships with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) of Perioperative Services, Clinical Director of Surgery (DOS), Clinical Director of Anaesthetics (DOA), and Director of Nursing (DON) to identify opportunities for quality improvement and other special projects as identified.
About you:Mandatory qualification/s: Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: The successful applicant will attend relevant training associated with the project and must maintain yearly compliance with the program. A relevant postgraduate diploma or master's degree is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $131,369 p.a. is comprised of:
