About the new Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (SMHRU)The new SMHRU unit will provide mental health rehabilitation services for people who require extended inpatient care within a secure environment, with a focus on autonomy, self-determination and collaboratively working towards independent living. All consumers within the SMHRU will be over 18 years of age.Our philosophy of care nurtures individual dreams and aspirations, promoting hope and optimism, and ensuring people feel valued, important, welcome, and safe.About your new roleAn incredible and rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator - Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit) to join our team where the focus of our new facility is to provide world-class, compassionate, person-centred mental health care that fosters the recovery of consumers, families and carers.Your Key Responsibilities:Support the development of team capability, through the facilitation of training whilst supporting the application of evidence-based theory into practice.Operationally support the Mental Health Nurse Educators in promoting a culture committed to continual evidence based practice.Provide a commitment to ongoing professional development and assist with the professional development of registered nursing staff.Utilise effective communication skills to support an environment of collaborative practice where all staff are able to learn.Monitoring safe clinical practice and risk assessment through daily rounding.To be successful in this position you will require:A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia.Be credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing).A graduate certificate or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirable.Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost).Benefits of working with Gold Coast Health:Flexible work agreement options.Career Development.Salary Packaging.Brand new facility with modern amenities.Diverse Work Culture.12.75% super.17.5% leave loading.Interstate/International candidates may be eligible for the Queensland Health Attraction Incentive - up to $20,000!Salary:Permanent full time.Base salary ranging from $107,960 - $115,604 per annum.About Gold Coast Health:More than 1100 beds across three hospitals - Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Varsity Lakes Hospital and Robina and Southport Health Precincts.Secondary and tertiary health services across more than 20 facilities.How to ApplyClick APPLY to submit your application by Friday, 29 November 2024.
