About your opportunity: The role of the Clinical Nurse within Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit is to assist in the coordination of care within a collaborative multidisciplinary recovery framework; provide mental health nursing practice consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the mental health service, to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.
The Clinical Nurse will contribute to the provision of evidence based and contemporary recovery focussed mental health care to a group of consumers who are experiencing debilitating mental illness, including co morbidities such as substance misuse, chronic disease while providing residential rehabilitation support to promote recovery that is reflective of State and National requirements.
All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
What's on offer? Generous remuneration package value up to $132,289 p.a. comprising: Salary range of $4138.10 to $4431.10 p.f. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1) Annual leave with relevant loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options , shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts. Candidate Requirements: Proof of qualification (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent), registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis. Probation period may apply. Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
