Job Title: Registered Nurse

Responsibilities:Provide expert clinical leadership in patient's/resident's/client's assessment, care planning and practice and role model to and collaborate with the healthcare team.Function effectively in complex situations while providing support and direction to the healthcare team.Participate in developing, evaluating and updating clinical service procedures, protocols, standards and guidelines.Engage in incident reporting/investigation, conduct quality improvement audits, and develop risk minimisation strategies to promote safe practices.Support undergraduate and postgraduate students.Develop and undertake quality initiatives, clinical audits, clinical trials and research.Provide clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research.Demonstrate advanced knowledge of contemporary practice and theory in the specialty area.Build and maintain strong relationships with open communication within a healthcare team.Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to provide quality person-centred care and health education to callers.Identify inconsistencies between policy and practice through quality initiatives and audits.Apply advanced clinical leadership through effective delegation, communication, problem solving, and critical thinking.Work with integrity and commitment to patient, service, and organisational goals.Qualifications, Registrations, and Other Requirements:Proof of qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.Postgraduate study in the field of Acute Care is preferred but not mandatory.Bachelor of Nursing is preferred but not mandatory.Ability to work all shifts in accordance with the 24/7 service.Possible requirement to work across multiple sites, including co-locating to Zillmere.Completion of mandatory training and competencies as per Health Contact Centre policies and procedures.How to Apply:Please provide the following information to the panel for assessment:
