About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Lead Speech Pathologist (Grade 4) to join our team. This is an Ongoing Part-Time (0.8 FTE) position. You will work within a supportive Speech Pathology team and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams managing complex paediatric inpatients and outpatients with swallowing and communication disorders. This position services several specialist caseloads with the caseload mix based on the successful applicant's skills and expertise. A significant part of this role involves providing clinical and professional leadership, teaching, supervision, and service improvement/development in collaboration with the Speech Pathology Manager. Caseloads are shared with other Speech Pathology team members, and some caseload flexibility and cover is required within the team by all staff.
Classification for this position will range from VW24-VW27 Grade 4 Year 1 to Grade 4 Year 4 (full-time equivalent base salary per annum $123,609 to $136,203 plus superannuation). There will be a salary increase in March 2025 as per the current EBA.
What you'll achieve: Provide high-quality, evidence-based speech pathology services to paediatric in/outpatients with communication and swallowing difficulties.Provide clinical and professional leadership within the Speech Pathology team in collaboration with the Speech Pathology Manager.Lead clinical improvement projects and promote a culture of evidence-based practice and an understanding of research principles and practice.Work effectively and flexibly within teams demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills.Act in a professional and ethical manner.Your skills and experience: Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent tertiary qualification.Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.Extensive experience in the provision of speech pathology services to children with communication and swallowing disorders.Demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of a clinical speech pathology team.Post-graduate qualification relevant to the role at Master or PhD level (or significant progress towards).Meets the requirements of the Speech Pathology Australia Professional Self-Regulation program.Upholds the Speech Pathology Australia Code of Conduct.If this sounds like you, click here to view the position description.
About the Speech Pathology Department We provide services to both inpatient and outpatient paediatric populations in the areas of eating, drinking and swallowing, speech, language, voice, cleft palate, and tracheostomy.
