The Clinical Lead will provide support to address the clinical needs of consumers referred to the service following a suicide attempt or presentation in suicidal crisis, while they are simultaneously supported through the psychosocial, care-coordination arm of the service.
The Clinical Lead will draw on clinical skills to engage with consumers, the consumer's support team which may include other clinicians and specialists, Neami Community Care Coordinators and Lived Experience-Community Care Coordinators, the consumer's family, friends and carers to provide high quality evidence-based interventions to improve overall wellbeing and safety for consumers.

Sound understanding of the personal, family, and social factors associated with suicidal ideation and attempts Demonstrated experience working with cultural and community groups known to be at higher risk of suicide (e.g. males, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTQIA+ community, people who identify as CALD, youth) What the role requires National Criminal History Check (police check) - disclosable outcomes considered Current Working with Children Check - required before commencement of work Current Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Psychologist AHPRA registration or current AASW Mental Health Accreditation for Social Workers How to apply
