Fixed Term Temporary full-time, 3 years from commencement (Permanent Staff Specialist position assured at the end of 3 years).
The successful candidate will lead a sophisticated psychiatric rehabilitation service consisting of a Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit, two community residential facilities, and a Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team, in order to provide high quality clinical care and non-clinical services to benefit consumers of the service.
The candidate will lead and manage the provision of medical services in accordance with the standard of the specialty, the ethics of the profession and in accordance with the THHS and (QH) policies, in a hospital, community and outreach setting.
What's on Offer? (Remuneration)Generous remuneration package value up to $536,916 p.a. comprising:
Salary range of $210,332 to $266,677 p.a. (L18 - L27)Annual leave with 17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary)Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,000 p.a.Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a leave.Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options, shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts. RequirementsQualifications in Psychiatry, recognised by the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, and current registration with/or eligibility for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.Suitability to be an Authorised Psychiatrist under the Mental Health Act 2016.Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of specialist Mental Health Services to maintain appropriate registration and/or association requirements is a requirement of all staff within the MHSG.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.All applicants must be awarded SoCP by the THHS Credentialing and SoCP committee. All appointments are subject to maintenance of SoCP within the CSCF for the facilities in which clinical work is to be undertaken.Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class 'C' motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.It is also a requirement of the position to participate in on-call rostering where necessary.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.For additional information regarding the responsibilities and/or other requirements for this position please refer to the role description.
