About Mental Health Division The Mental Health Division is committed to promoting the highest levels of care for our patients. In realizing this goal, the department will lead and excel in research, teaching, and the use of person-centred evidence-based practice. The department provides services on all three campuses of Austin Health, from the Emergency Department through to bed-based services and ongoing ambulatory care.
About the role CCS is a multidisciplinary team of highly passionate, experienced, supportive, collaborative, and enthusiastic mental health professionals. We are creating a new Specialist Eating Disorder Service - Adult & Older Adult Mental Health Division. Our values underpin everything we do. You will form solid working relationships within the pre-existing community teams and foster strong therapeutic relationships with your clients and their families/carers.

Provide a specialist lens to our Adult & Older Adults living with complex mental health needsWork within an established community mental health team to enhance care provision for people living with eating disordersHelp build our Specialist Eating Disorder ServiceA regular day will see you:
Perform intake functionality for referrals to our Adult Specialist Eating Disorder ServiceBring your expert opinion and experiences to our team to help make a differenceAssess and treat our clients, liaising as appropriate with family members and caregivers to promote patient careCollaborate with multiple teams across the division and wider communitySupport the care and recovery of people living with eating disorder diagnoses and presentationsAdvocate for your clients' right to access safe and timely care, at the right place at the right timeAbout you As the Clinical Coordinator, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skill set.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you flexible thinking, creative ideas, and a passion for working within a strong multidisciplinary team to make a real impact on clinical outcomes.
You'll further have: Experience and skills in delivering evidence-based assessment and treatment of eating disordersMinimum 5 years' experience in a relevant mental health setting - including eating disorder inpatient experienceDemonstrated knowledge of recovery and collaborative clinical practice.A working knowledge of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act (2022), the Carer Recognition Act (2012), and Chief Psychiatrists GuidelinesWorking at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
