As a Clinical Coder your responsibilities will include: Timely and accurate clinical codingParticipate in case mix analysis, education & quality activitiesClinical documentation improvement initiativesParticipate in audits as necessaryHunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university.
We are an independent 83 bed facility with a 5 theatre Operating Suite providing medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and surgical services.

Minimum Requirements: HIMAA Certification in Clinical Coding with experience in ICD-10-AM, ACHI & ACSProven experience in clinical codingSound understanding of Codefinder & TurbocoderStrong organisational skills in planning, prioritising and managing workloadsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work within a team environmentSound Knowledge of private sector funding modelsDemonstrated understanding in WebPAS patient information systemFor further enquiries: Barbara Lee – Finance Manager, 02 4944 3750
