I-MED Radiology Network, North Tasmania is looking for a PERMANENT, FULL TIME, CLINICAL RADIOLOGY ASSISTANT to work between our St Vincents and St Lukes sites in LAUNCESTON.
I-MED radiology network, North Tasmania is a key provider of imaging services to communities living across the North and North-West parts of the State.
IMED delivers services including xrays, MRI and CT scans, Bone Density scans amongst many others.
IMED radiology network, North Tasmania is looking for an individual that has had previous experience working in the health care sector, is confident and proficient in interacting with people who may be nervous of pending procedures and someone who supports a team to deliver friendly, empathetic and efficient services to our local communities.IMED believes that 'answers start with us' and that that our vision is to 'provide answers and save lives.'
Key accountabilities include: • Providing excellent customer service and patient care• Perform and assist with patient movement in the Medical Imaging service area, and the hospital when clinically required• Assist with general clinic tasks and other patients of the department in any manner as directed by technical/medical staff.
This may include phone interactions to confirm appointments or assist with patient scheduling • Assist with procedure set up and providing patient support during interventional procedures• Ensure Workplace Health and Safety legislation is complied with• Opportunity for venepuncture /cannulation training• Maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers• Maintain appropriate stock levels within the clinic and ensuring supplies are distributed across the clinics What we're looking for:• Experience in patient handling (both physical and verbal) is essential• Ability to handle patient care with compassion and empathy, ensuring the patients privacy, dignity and confidentiality is maintained• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact amiably and effectively with both the public and colleagues• Ability to function effectively as part of a diagnostic health team• Good time management and organisational skills• An individual that wants to learn!
