Nutrition and Dietetics are looking for several Clinical Assistants to join their team. The Eat, Walk, Engage program at the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital sits with the Nutrition and Dietetics department. The Nutrition and Dietetics department leads and supports interdisciplinary systems to improve outcomes and prevent hospital acquired complications including malnutrition and delirium. This role will work closely and be supported professionally by the Senior Clinical Assistant, Clinical Facilitators, and multidisciplinary teams with a focus on providing best practice, restorative care to older patients.
About the Role Provide a range of individual patient interventions as delegated by the AHP and work under the direction of health professionals and the Senior Clinical Assistant.Prepare and/or implement individual or group treatment programs for patients under the supervision and direction of the therapists and report on patient performance as required.Assist with the personal care, manual handling, and transport of patients.Undertake the transport, set up, monitoring and care of clinical equipment, therapy material, educational resources and assistive devices.Our values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement and Excellence shape our culture within Metro South Health.
