As a Medical Officer with our client, you'll be supported in your growth and development, empowering you to enhance the daily lives of the people we serve with dedication and care.
In this role, you will provide primary medical care as part of a multidisciplinary team, all working together to ensure the health and well-being of Defence personnel.
You will play a key role in assessing personnel for fitness for duty and delivering care that supports their well-being, both pre- and post-deployment.
As a thought leader in the medical field, you'll work alongside Senior Medical Officers and uniformed colleagues, offering expert medical and technical guidance to medical units, health commands, centre managers, and unit commanders.
To be successful in this role you will have: Current unconditional and unrestricted General registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR, Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration.
Minimum of 2 years full-time postgraduate experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent), GPT Registrar rotations are counted.
Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities per AHPRA.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
As security clearance is required for this role, you will be required to be an Australian Citizen and attain and maintain baseline clearance.
