About the Department: The Department of Education are dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community and schools we support by treating everyone with respect and dignity.This starts with recruitment and selection.The methods of assessing suitability in the recruitment process may vary.This includes making reasonable adjustments to support applicants at all stages of the process and employee lifecycle.About the School:Murgon State High School is on an attractively landscaped property and includes a 42 hectare farm.Murgon State High School has an enrolment of around 330 students and 80 staff.We support all students in finding an appropriate educational pathway.Success will look different for every student - some will go onto higher education, others to vocational training and some straight into employment.The school manages behaviour using Positive Behaviour Learning (PBL) which acknowledges positive students achievements with rewards throughout the year.Role:Working in a team of 6, 30 hrs per week, 6 hours per day split shiftResponsibilities include: Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.Cleaning and maintaining equipment.Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.Dusting including student and office furniture, equipment and fans.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?To Apply: Attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant work history) Attach a 1-page written statement in response to the attached role description.We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.Applications from recruitment agencies will not be accepted.When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.Salary rate shown is reflective of full-time (1.0 FTE).The Department of Education is a family inclusive workplace.
