Location ProfileDandenong Valley SDS is a specialist school located in Narre Warren Victoria, catering for students with significant intellectual disabilities. The school facilities include a PMP room, a Hydrotherapy pool, sensory garden, horticulture centre, bike track, fitness room, engine room, sensory room, and generous sized classrooms. Our enrolment criteria are moderate to severe intellectual disability, and students must reside within our transport zone.
Students range in age from Foundation to year twelve, and we have an Early Education Program for children from 2.8 - 4.8 years.
The senior transition program prepares students for post-school options and adult life.

RoleThe classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges: range 1 and range 2. The primary focus is on planning, preparation, and teaching to achieve specific student outcomes. Classroom teachers engage in critical reflection to improve their practice.
Range 2 teachers assist in improving student performance and educational outcomes, contributing to the development and implementation of school policies. Responsibilities include:
