Job title: Classroom Teacher – Commencing Term 1 2025Company: State Government Of Victoria, AustraliaJob description: Thornhill Park Primary School was established in 2023 and is located in the suburb of Thornhill Park approximately 40 kilometres west of Melbourne. Our school currently has capacity for 650 students and caters for students from Years Prep to 6. Our enrolments are around 550, with a growth of up to 900 students expected by term 4 2025. The grounds sit alongside a new creek installation in the Thornhill Park Estate and are surrounded by many new houses, bike paths, and open park spaces. The school community is culturally diverse with many families coming from a language background other than English. We provide a strong culture of inclusion and have established a supportive environment for all students. Our staff have a range of experience and work in teams to provide differentiated programs for all students. We value the ongoing development of a strong culture and continue to build a team of people who have students at the centre of their decision-making and strive to make an impact. We offer a curriculum based on building strong foundations in Literacy and Numeracy, whilst providing students with a range of real-life and problem-based experiences.Responsibilities:Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;Contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school;Undertaking other classroom teaching-related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal;Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May Apply: Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.Child Safe Standards: Victorian government schools are child safe environments.
