The role The primary purpose of this role is to enhance Return to Work (RTW) outcomes in high-risk worker's compensation cases by influencing stakeholders, reducing barriers, and implementing national strategies, while delivering a positive customer experience.
You'll be responsible for Working with Team Managers and Case Managers to identify higher risk claims that would benefit from hands-on RTW support to overcome barriers.
Engaging with workers, employers, treating practitioners and providers to collaboratively plan and implement a personalised and holistic RTW solution.
Attending medical case conferences and worksite visits where appropriate to plan, initiate, and progress RTW in a safe, timely, and durable manner.
Assisting the Case Manager in implementing the agreed RTW strategy by actioning targeted rehab and other interventions, as well as timely approvals where needed.
Monitoring workplace rehabilitation usage, efficacy, and expenditure and implement improvement strategies to achieve performance targets.
About you 3+ years' experience in personal injury management (case management, workplace rehabilitation, RTW Coordinator, Injury Management Coordinator or similar) Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management, Diploma of Personal Injury & Disability Insurance Management, or an Allied health degree desirable.
Ability to build effective relationships, influence and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve RTW outcomes.
Ability to make independent as well as collaborative decisions during expected or unexpected situations and then taking responsibility for the consequences of decisions taken.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
