An opportunity is now available for a Claims Manager to join our Perth team in a permanent, full-time position.

As the Claims Manager, you will provide support and advice to our members through managing Civil and Professional Conduct claims. This role is also responsible for assisting in the accurate maintenance, entry and reporting of claims data, file management and document production.

The key responsibilities include: Managing member claims and investigations to support our members.Providing guidance, advice and support in the indemnification of claims.Proactively formulating a claims management strategy for the member, to achieve the best possible outcome.Partnering with Solicitors in the support of our members' claims as required.Participating in the resourcing of the medico-legal advice hotline.To be successful in this role you will have: Tertiary qualifications in legal, health or business.Previous demonstrated experience in insurance claims management.Experience as a registered nurse or allied health worker is highly regarded; training will be provided on the job to become an expert in claims management.A strong understanding of current health and insurance legislation.A strong focus on time management and work management.Excellent communication and relationship building skills.Proven ability to work in an electronic document management system.Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.Why work at Avant?
