About the Department
The Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role inthe protection of children, young people and their families withinSouth Australia. The department provides support to vulnerablechildren and young people to be safe, strong and connected.
About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting term opportunity to join the WorkHealth and Safety and Injury Management Team as ClaimsConsultant.
Within this role you will be responsible for contributing to aneffective Injury Management (IM) system for DCP, ensuringlegislative compliance and deliverable sustainability that willsupport best practice and continual improvement.
The role works in close partnership with Managers, supervisors,employees and their representatives to deliver claims andcompensation services, including consultancy, claim determinations,monitoring and approval of costs (inclusive of treatment and incomemaintenance), negotiation and resolution of disputes.
About you
We are looking for a motivated individual with experienceinterpreting reports on return to work trends and providing claimsand compensation management services.
To be successful in this role you will have high levelinterpersonal skills, and ability to communicate successfully withpeople at all levels, liaising effectively with employees, seniormanagement, health professionals, solicitors and a range of keystakeholders and staff.
