This role will also suit candidates who are recent law graduates or due to complete their studies. What you'll do: Management and negotiation of claims, including communication with solicitors or direct claimants, by phone, correspondence and/or attending settlement conferences and/or hearingsObtaining and reviewing medical, financial, investigative and rehabilitation reports to assist in the accurate assessment of individual claimsEnsuring legislative compliance timeframes are met in conjunction with ongoing review of medical, financial investigative and rehabilitation reportsAdopting appropriate strategies are observed to resolve claims cost effectivelyEnsuring early access to appropriate rehabilitation so that injured claimants can achieve optimal recovery from their injuriesNegotiating claims settlements with solicitors in line with legislative, regulatory and procedural guidelinesProviding an excellent level of customer service to the legislative authority, employers and injured claimants through compliance with legislation, timely response times and efficiency in processingWhat you'll bring: Sound knowledge and experience in handling CTP or personal injury claims or Law is preferredTertiary qualifications, including Legal, Allied Health or Insurance would be advantageousExcellent analytical skills and technical skillsHigh attention to detailPro-active and energetic team playerHighest professional approach to all aspects of claims handlingExcellent verbal communication skills and the ability to listen, build rapport, communicate complex information and negotiate with a variety of internal and external stakeholdersStrong administrative and written skills and the ability to effectively manage all aspects of each claim whilst keeping in the restraints of the NSW legislationStrong commitment and a high degree of integrity to help meet and exceed customer expectationsA positive attitude and willingness to contribute to workplace improvement and changesWhat we can offer you: Suncorp's employee benefits are designed to support, empower and reward our people.
