The CISO will lead the Security Strategy, the Digital Risk and Compliance Framework, security policies, standards, procedures, risk and compliance activities, including business continuity planning and the related Business Resilience Framework.DescriptionThe CISO will be responsible for:Focusing on strategic planning and actively contributing to the development and delivery of outcomes of the business strategic planDeveloping, implementing and maintaining the Information / Cyber Security Strategy and Business Continuity planningDelivering programs of work such as Defense Industry Security, Network Segmentation, Foreign Interference Implementation and Physical and Cyber Awareness trainingLeading, motivating and developing staff within the CISO teamActing as the escalation point of contact for complex and sensitive issuesPlanning, recommending and actively monitoring the annual operating budget and the longer term capital spending budgetPhysical and Cyber Security and Records Management compliance and reporting, including breach reporting to external bodies, and/or reporting to Senior Executive and governance committees i.e. Audit and Risk CommitteeRecognising the complexities the educational sector faces, establishing alliances across both educational and cyber sectors, furthering understanding of the challenges and sector-wide approachProfileAs the successful applicant you will ideally possess:Extensive relevant experience in a leadership role managing Cyber Security, Risk and/or related Security leadership rolePeople management skills and extensive staff management experience with small to medium sized teams across multiple locations with the ability to lead, motivate, mentor, support and develop high-performance teamsProven ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and work effectively with executive and senior leadership teams while managing competing projects and/or end-user needsOutstanding communication, written and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to engage effectively and persuasively with a wide range of stakeholders, business sponsors, and external delivery partnersHighly developed professional, technical, commercial expertise and business acumen with experience in contract and budget managementJob OfferSenior leadership position.
