Mining - Operations (Mining, Resources & Energy) Full time Fitzroy Mining Operations is a new force in the Queensland metallurgical coal mining industry with a portfolio of existing operations and a pipeline of growth projects. In our short history, we have successfully reinvigorated operations at Carborough Downs underground mine, breathed new life into the Broadlea open cut and we also have our new underground longwall mine at Ironbark No.1.
About the Role Reporting to the CHPP Production Superintendent, as Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and productive operation of the CHPP, its employees, contractors and ancillary equipment. This is a frontline leadership role where you will drive and mentor your crew to achieve shift targets and maintain their process plant knowledge, skills and relevant competencies to ensure CHPP operational reliability in a consistently safe work environment. You will be responsible for maintaining plant key performance indications, investigate and improve the CHPP performance of each unit operation including raw coal, flotation and dewatering circuits, rejects and stockpile management.
About You 3+ years' supervisor/leadership experience within a Coal Handling environmentWell-developed knowledge of equipment maintenance practices within a CHPPTrade qualification (Mechanical or Electrical) – highly advantageousExperienced at prioritising tasks and allocation to crew members within their level of skill and knowledge to meet shift targetsSound understanding of Computer Control Systems – CITECT SCADA PLC ControlThorough understanding of individual responsibilities in relation to the Coal Mining Safety and Health ActSkilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issuesTeam player with the ability to build and maintain internal and external working relationshipsStrong communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to motivate and challengeDemonstrated commitment to safe working practices.Ability to work to deadlines and complete tasks in a timely and efficient mannerOur Operating Philosophy To deliver our objective, we will conduct ourselves in accordance with the following:
