The Home-Based Care (HBC) Support Worker is part of the Home-Based Care program who work closely to support clients and families within our Foster Care program.
In this fulfilling role, you'll collaborate closely with the HBC Case Manager and Coordinator in providing essential support to our clients and their families.
Whether it's planning exciting activities within the home, exploring the community or assisting in transporting our clients to appointments such as school, extracurricular activities and family visits.
Your focus will be on meeting each child's and young person's unique needs, whilst ensuring their emotional and physical well-being are being met.
This is a Casual Position based in Hamilton and Warrnambool - please specify on your application which location you would prefer.

To be successful in this role, you will have: A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and out of home care), or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications.
Applicants who do not hold the relevant qualifications must be enrolled and undertake to complete the applicable Cert IV within 3 months of commencement. A current valid Victorian driver's licence and the ability to operate MacKillop passenger vehicles in accordance with all Victorian Road Safety Regulation. An understanding of Trauma and how best to work with children and young people in Out of Home Care. Genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing, and a demonstrate experience providing empathy for and caring for young people in an open minded and non-judgmental manner. Demonstrated understanding of, and respect for, cultural and linguistic diversity (CALD), including cultural safety for children from CALD backgrounds.
