Child Wellbeing Practitioner - Loddon Childrens Health and Wellbeing LocalSalary per hour: Pending qualification + superannuation + generous salary packaging options
Employment Type: 2 year Fixed term part time 50 hours per fortnight
The Loddon Children's Health and Wellbeing Local (LCHWL) has recently been established in response to the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System. Led by Bendigo Community Health Services in partnership with Bendigo Health and regional partners, this position is employed by Dhelkaya Health and works as part of the LCHWL team, providing accessible and coordinated services to children 0 to 11 years and their families across the region.
This exciting new role will be part of a new and innovative Program delivering holistic care, ensuring timely response to the changing needs of children and their families. This position will provide a central point for connecting, navigating, and accessing health and social care, whilst providing a coordinated and holistic care pathway for children and their families. This will include identifying the health, mental health and wellbeing needs of the child, connecting to and navigating service pathways, providing therapeutic intervention and supporting capacity building for the family and other adults in the child's network.
About you The successful candidate will have: A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Social Work, Nursing, Psychology or other relevant Allied Health discipline, with current AHPRA registration or equivalent Professional Association, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant discipline with Paediatrics experience.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Sound knowledge of family centred practice and the protective factors and contributors in relation to health inequality and vulnerability.A passion for working with children and families to increase health literacy and enhance health and wellbeing.Please refer to the relevant attached position description and address the key selection criteria on your cover letter when applying.
