Position Title: Child Safety Project Officer

About the roleWe are currently seeking a proactive Child Safe Project Officer reporting to the Human Resources Coordinator that will ensure Council meets compliance with the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
The three main objectives of the role are:
Leadership and staff management – Effectively plan and co-ordinate all facets of the organisation-wide implementation of the child safe standards through contemporary and best practice models in line with current policy.Strategic Service Planning and Development – Contribute to strategic planning and development in relation to the implementation of child safe standards, and provide specialist technical leadership to the organisation and relevant stakeholders in the implementation of current policy, continuous improvement, evaluation, and education.Specialist liaison and advocate – Provide knowledge leadership through guidance and specialist advice as it relates to the organisation-wide implementation of the Child Safe Standards.To succeed in this role you will have: Demonstrated working knowledge and application of the Victorian Child Safe Standards.Established knowledge and collaborative approach to embedding organisation-wide goals and change to improve service and community outcomes.This is a temporary part-time position until 1 January 2026, the hours of work are 45.6 hours per fortnight.
The current base salary is $87,860 per annum (pro-rata), exclusive of superannuation.
