We work with young people, their families, community, and non-government support agencies to strengthen the capacity of families and individuals to provide adequate support, care, and safety to children.
Experience working in these sectors would be an advantage, and a current driver's licence is essential.
Work in all areas of CSS: Assessment teams, Advice and Referral Line (ARL), Case Management, and Out of Home Care.
Duties Include Under general supervision, provide quality, timely, and effective intervention, and case management services within a defined child safety service delivery framework, working within the Tasmanian Child Protection Professional Practice Standards.
Engage and work with children and young persons and their families to promote safety, stability, and development of the child, and to strengthen family capacity.
This includes directly guiding, encouraging, and supporting the child and family while monitoring impacts and outcomes.
Essential Requirements Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW.
Current Driver's Licence.
The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered.
This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.
