Chief People Officer About the Role:
As the Chief People Officer, you will be a trusted adviser and strategic partner, responsible for delivering the People and Culture Plan. This role involves leading a team of up to 50 professionals across key areas such as Business Partnering, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, People Operations, Work, Health, Safety & Wellbeing, and Culture & Inclusion.
You'll provide expert leadership on compliance, governance, and industrial matters, particularly around wage Awards, safety regulations, and workplace legislation, ensuring the university adheres to best practices. Collaborating with the Senior Executive, you will develop strategies to meet workforce needs and enhance ECU's organisational culture, ensuring a positive and safe environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities: About You:
You are an innovative and experienced HR leader with a track record of success within large, complex organisations. Experience in tertiary education is highly desirable, but we welcome candidates from diverse sectors who bring relevant skills and a strong leadership background.
You will have demonstrated success in leading major strategic change programs, empowering teams, and building strong relationships across an organisation. Your ability to influence and lead within a complex environment will be critical to ensuring ECU continues to thrive.
