Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the executive team, the Chief People Officer (CPO) will be responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of the People portfolio.
With employee experience at the centre, the CPO will work collaboratively to develop and implement strategic, human-centred HR initiatives, policy and processes to enhance CoM's reputation as an employer of choice. This position will develop partnerships with senior executives across the organisation to facilitate best practice HR leadership and promote continuous improvement across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
As a trusted advisor to the ELT, the CPO will provide frank and fearless advice while driving a high-performance culture through the delivery of expert HR support and delivery from the P&C function. The CPO will play a pivotal role in leading the continued growth and evolution of CoM's culture, with focussed efforts in leadership development, new ways of working and encouraging an environment of open communication, accountability and leading through customer-centric delivery and performance.
To be considered for this role, you will be a high performing People & Culture leader, with significant experience in leading across complex organisations through significant change, transformation and/or growth, ideally within a complex service delivery environment. Critical to your success in this role, will be your experience in leading and establishing contemporary people partnering models, uplifting culture and engagement, progressing diversity and inclusion initiatives and successfully leading ER/IR negotiations and outcomes.
You will bring experience in developing leadership capability within the teams you lead, while creating highly engaged workplace culture focused on customer centricity and continuous improvement. You are regarded for your strategic leadership, broader business acumen and ability to effectively engage and influence key stakeholders. Demonstrated experience with government or across the public sector would be highly regarded but not essential.
